Multiple Identities

We all are sum of our multiple Identities. Beyond our Educational degree, Visiting card, Name of our Company, or our GDP. CQ plays importance Role in shaping our Identity.
You learn, you unlearn you adopt, and you delete some habits of yours in becoming who you are today!
Nothing is perfect, good, or Bad but who you are.

For me it was tough to find the Tulsi plant in Rio.

Italian Basil was easily available but not the Indian Tulsi.

I told Aai My Mom It seems not possible to get Tulsi in Rio.

She was disappointed 😞 Home is incomplete without it.

Somehow, I found this plant. For me it was a medicinal plant but for my mom it was her Identity as a Vaishnav.

People from my Mom's Generations are Minimalistic in carrying their cultural Identities.
आपली संस्कृती दाखवण्यासाठी त्या पिढिला कधी अवडंबर गाजवावं वाटलं नाही. रोजच्या जगण्यात ठामपणे त्यांनी त्यांची संस्कृती जपली. मग संध्याकाळी दिवा लागल्यावरचा नमस्कार असो की कावळ्याला रोज एक चपातीचा तुकडा देणं असो की कुणाला धक्का लागला तर साॅरी म्हणणं असोत.
सांस्कृतिक बुद्धिमत्ता हा गहन विषय आहे पण आपल्या आजूबाजूला घडणा-या अशा क्रिया प्रतिक्रिया पाहताना आपल्याला हा विषय acceptance शिकवतो. इतरांचं वेगळेपण स्विकारायचं जरी ते आपण अंगीकारत नसलो तरी.
मी माझ्या युके व्हिसाची वाट पाहतेय. लवकरच इंग्लंडमध्ये सांस्कृतिक बुद्धिमत्ता या विषयावरील जगभरातले काही लेखक, व्यावसायिक आणि प्रोफेसर एका काॅन्फरन्ससाठी एकत्र येत आहेत. मी ही तिथे जातेय. त्याबद्दल सविस्तर लिहिनच.
